I started Duck Hunting in 1991 and liked it but something was missing. It took awhile to figure it out
because I did not know any better. No one hunted with a dog. I finally decided (as I like a challenge) to
train a dog for Duck Hunting. I got Rocky in Late summer of 2000 as an 8 week old pup. He was flown
in from Oklahoma. I got right to work and used many different books and videos for training help. The
2001 Duck Season was great. I did not have to untie the boat to go get every Duck I shot. I was now
hooked on Duck hunting and in the next few years more and more Labs became part of the family. I
lost Bandit at 14 years old and Misty at 11.  As of 2002, We had Deke, Rocky and Lita. In 2004 we
added Bella to the mix. Although 4 dogs in the house is a lot they bring a lot of Joy and at times
comedy. During Hunting Season at least one of them is with me everyday. I also take a trip out west
with the 2 Pointing Labs every year and this year I may take all 4.

Deke became the foundation for wanting to do some breedings and put him up for stud. Deke is truly
and amazing animal that can do anything, if I can just figure out how to train him. His POINT is
unmistakable and intense. He will retrieve crippled diving ducks and makes it look easy. He also is a
baby in the house and just wants to be with us. His hips came back excellent which was another
deciding factor in wanting to breed him. He also has Normal Elbow's and is CERF'd.

Bella than came along and is another truly exceptional animal. She has the heart and desire of no
other. Bella's first true duck hunting experience was with me and my partner's brother. She actually
dove under water to retrieve her first crippled Blue Bill. Deke also does this. She had not been taught
blinds as she was only a year old this past season, but if I sent her after a shot she would go out and
find that duck using her sight and nose. Bella went to South Dakota and started her pointing career at
the age of 1. She did a great job out there during her first exposure to wild birds and threw some great
points. She will be breed to Deke if her Health Clearances come back positive.

Now we are at the present time. I have been a Detective for 13 years and on the job for over 18. I have
1 year until I can retire and if I can get my Outfitters business going I will retire and do what I love to
do. Fish and Hunt. My son is now 17 and an amazing High School Wrestler.
He ended up 2nd in the conference as a Sophomore

I will also add to my dogs and produce a few quality litters a year. My males that show me they are
worthy will be put out for stud. You Can read more about all of my plans on the other pages on this
website.
